During his 40+ year career as a car dealer and CFO, Don directed the financial operations, including risk management, for multi-franchised dealership groups. He most recently was the CFO for Lyle Pearson Auto Group for 20 years. He understands the critical need to manage risks that could impact an organization’s capital and earnings.
That’s why he administered the claim processing, hired an outside risk management consultant and kept the worker’s comp experience mod low. Directing the insurance
needs for the corporation included negotiating insurance for employee health, Worker’s Comp, property/ casualty/ liability and umbrella coverages. Navigating business to minimize sources of risk, due to financial uncertainty, legal liabilities, strategic management errors, accidents or natural disasters, convinced him of the value of
hiring risk management consultants.
